Every Christmas season needs a pantomime, so the Wharf is delighted to uphold this very British tradition. Adults and children alike will enjoy this tale of rags to riches presented with songs and laughter, not forgetting the Dame and plenty of audience participation.
The story goes that back in the 14th Century, a poor down-and-out called Dick Whittington found work and shelter in the house of a wealthy merchant. He sent Dick and the cat he befriended off to sea to trade with the Sultan of Barbary. The Sultan was overrun with rats and paid a small fortune to keep the cat. On his return, Dick started a successful business, married the merchant's daughter and became Lord Mayor of London - three times! Or so legend has it.

Come and see if the legend is correct and follow Dick and his cat's adventures through life.
Tickets £8, Matinees £6, booking from 26th October. Please note that there is no performance on Monday 14th December.
