What We Do
WYT begins each season in September with a programme of theatre workshops: voice, physical theatre, stage craft and devising! Workshops are held during the Autumn and Spring Terms as half-day sessions that are run by visiting drama teachers who are highly qualified in their field.  From approximately Easter onwards, we rehearse for and stage a full length production in the Wharf Theatre which runs for at least four nights.

All Wharf Youth Theatre staff are CRB checked and we all work in pairs.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – July 2008
Last week Devizes theatregoers got the chance to see the rising generation of local young actors and actresses as the innovative Wharf Youth Theatre's debut production, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. They played to a sell-out run of six performances.
C.S. Lewis's allegorical tale of free will and divine redemption tells the story of how four ordinary children discover that the wardrobe in the house of a strange old man leads to the magical kingdom of Narnia. Glyn Robbins' 1984 adaptation was an ambitious choice for the WYT's debut, but it was one they pulled off with extraordinary aplomb.
Director Jemma Barnes put together a wonderfully talented cast of youngsters. In Maddie Blackwell (Lucy), Daisy Combe (Susan), Tom Mullings (Edmund) and Matthew James (Peter) she had four exceptionally engaging talents playing the Pevensie children, and they were complemented by commanding performances from George Combe as Aslan and Juliet Fulcher as the White Witch.
