Sandra (Léa Seydoux) is a widowed young mother raising her daughter on her own in Paris. She works as an interpreter and cares for ailing father (Pascal Greggory). He has a neuro-degenerative disorder which causes loss of vision and mental faculties. Sandra, her mother and sister try to find him the care he needs. As she mourns the relationship she once had with her father, she bumps into an old friend, Clément
