SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, WHARF THEATRE
Do you enjoy using social media? Are you looking for a fun and creative new role? If so then The Wharf Theatre in Devizes is looking for a Social Media Manager.
This is a newly created role and, as with all others at the theatre, it is a voluntary position. It will allow the holder to be actively involved in the success of each production and to be an integral part of the management team.
Requirements
Whilst no specific qualifications are required, we are looking for someone who is happy posting regular content on most forms of social media, including but not confined to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
We have a google drop box in which directors, cast and the theatre team drop short videos, photographs and written content. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for reviewing this content and presenting it in the best way to inform and engage the public. It is important that the ethos, professionalism and integrity of The Wharf is maintained, so the post holder will need to be discerning on what material is posted.
We envisage this as a growing role which would suit someone who is able to dedicate enough time to review content, plan posts and remain up to date with any new and suitable outlets. As shows near opening night this may require daily postings or the use of a social media management app to schedule regular posts such as Hootsuit.
The Social Media Manager will be a part of the Publicity and Marketing team so, whilst you will work on your own to some extent, the team is always available to advise.
