WHARF YOUTH THEATRE
The new Wharf Youth Theatre is a professionally led young actors company, launching in September 2021. There will be 2 groups each led by a different director.
Senior Actors Company
Friday 6-8pm. Sept 24th – Oct 22nd,
Nov 5th – Dec 3rd
This group is for school years 9-13 (as of September 21) and will be led by Lou Cox
(Year 9 are welcome to enrol in the Senior Actors if they have experience and confidence for this company)
The Senior Actors Company bridges the gap between school drama offering you further practitioner knowledge, a chance to develop your performance skills and many opportunities to perform in our very own theatre. It is a chance to work with like-minded people once a week who share the same passion for drama. You will explore theatre through the ages, engage in practitioner acting theories, work with text and devise your own work. There will be opportunities for students to compete in performance festivals, perform a live play to a paid audience and most importantly have fun and play!
10 week term £90. (concessionary places available – please contact; )

Junior Actors Company
Thursdays 4.30-6pm Sept 23rd – Oct 21st,
Nov 4th – Dec 2nd
This group is for school years 6-9 (as of September 21) and will be led by Lucia Pupilli
(Year 9 are welcome to enrol in the Junior Actors if they have less experience and confidence for the Senior Company)
The junior actors will be having fun at our theatre workshops, building confidence and gaining skills through drama games and improvisations. We will rehearse and perform scenes from plays and devise our own. We aim to put on an annual show as we progress, on stage in the theatre, which will be very exciting! Our workshops are not only an opportunity to develop acting and drama skills but to make friends and become confident young adults. We encourage all children to reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
10 week term £75. (concessionary places available – please contact; )

She also directs and has recently started exciting projects with Banardos adoption agency, using drama as a training tool for adoptive parents and a refugee charity in Swindon.
Lucia Pupilli studied at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for four years, graduating with BA Honours. Lucia went on to work professionally as an actress in various theatre and film productions including ‘White collar hooligans’ directed by Paul Tanter in Rio de Janeiro and ‘His and Hers’ directed by Lisa Spirling performed at The Egg theatre in Bath. Lucia also performed at various pubs, clubs and restaurants as a cabaret singer. Following this, she went on to study for her PGCE in Primary education and worked as a Primary School teacher for five years in Wiltshire. Her love of teaching combined with theatre and music led her to found ‘Music with Lucia’ teaching instrumental lessons on Piano, Flute and Voice to all age groups including children and adults which she is still doing currently. In her spare time, she enjoys performing with ‘The invitation Theatre company’ and has performed recently in ‘Spamalot’ and sang in concert with The Fulltone Orchestra.
