Audition Notice

Lovesong By Abi Morgan
Directed by Freddie Underwood
Performance dates : Monday 23 – Saturday 28 May 2022
Auditions : Sunday 9 January 2022 in the Wharf foyer at 2pm
Lovesong is the story of one couple, told from two different points in their lives – as young lovers in their 20s and as worldly companions looking back on their relationship. Their past and present selves collide onstage as we witness the optimism of youth becoming the wisdom of experience. Love is a leap of faith.
Director, Freddie Underwood brought Things I Know To Be True to the Wharf stage in 2019 and is looking forward to working with an enthusiastic and committed cast in exploring this beautiful and haunting play. Movement has become Freddie’s personal stamp within her productions and Lovesong will be similar to her previous work in Things I Know To Be True, which fused movement, music and partnering with the work of the text.
**This will be an exciting and rewarding production, but actors should be mindful that the work will require individuals who are relatively fit and comfortable with touch.**
