Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime 2023

Audition Date: Saturday 9th September – Wharf Theatre Foyer
Dancers Auditions: 10am & 11am
Actors Auditions: 2pm-4pm

Production Dates: 30th November – 9th December 2023 (Must have full availability from 25th November – 9th December 2023)

This years jolly romp through the fairytale story book brings us Jack and the beanstalk. We have the story of a man, a beanstalk and his faithful cow. Will he find his fortune and win his sweetheart? Will he find out what’s at the top of the beanstalk? Why has the cow got dancing shoes on?

Jack Trott

Lead character, singing and dancing role. Cheeky, charismatic and brave. Must be good with heights.

Silly Simon Trott

Jacks brother, lots of audience interaction. High energy, enthusiastic and a little bit dumb.

Cow Pat

The Trotts Family cow. Dreams of being on the west end stage in a musical. Fabulous and sassy. Singing and Dancing role.

Spirit of the Bells

A magical being who enable Jack to save the day. Sassy, Camp and a bit of a Diva. Singing role.

Princess Jill

Lead character, love interest to Jack. Sweet, bubbly and enthusiastic. Singing and dancing role.

Queen Constantine

Queen of Devizeshire. Both King and Queen care deeply for their community and want to keep moral high and protect their kingdom.

King Rupert

Loveable King of Devizeshire. Both King and Queen care deeply for their community and want to keep moral high and protect their kingdom.

Mrs Blunderbore

Main baddie. Married to the giant, lives in the city in the sky. Needs to be able to work well with audience. Threatening, evil, but not scary.
