How the Other Half Loves
By Sir Alan Ayckbourn
Frank’s wife Fiona has had a fling with Teresa’s husband Bob. Frank gets the wrong end of the stick and mistakenly decides William’s wife, Mary is the woman involved. William is then cast as the wronged husband, and is Teresa really having an affair with the Editor of the Guardian? A multiplication of misunderstandings and chaos over who is having the affair with whom allows Ayckbourn to extract every ounce of fun from the most unlikely sources of bullying, infidelity and class disparity. Sir Alan Ayckbourn has said that he views his classic masterpiece as a comedy not a farce but sold out audiences since 1969 don’t really care which it is, it’s just very very funny!
